Liberate Eden
Liberate Eden is media-rich book by author Greg Fromholz for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. A joint effort my Greg Fromholz, John Ryan and myself.
We had originally planned to use the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite when we started developing this, and were even at an advanced stage with the Adobe pre-release program. But it became clear to us, that the licensing cost was going to be too high. So in April 2011 we went back to a small outfit we had noted in our research back in January 2011. Enter Baker Framework.
After about a day of testing up in Belfast with John Ryan of Life Forms Design we were sold on the possibilities with Baker. A little over a month later, after many late nights, and John’s slick HTML5 and CSS3, a book is born on the App Store. Un-ending thanks goes out to the guys at Baker as well as Florian Franke for Laker. According to Franke himself Liberate Eden was the very first app made with Laker to be accepted into the App Store.
Built with Baker Framework , Laker Compendium and of course Xcode.
